MY PERSONAL JOURNEY:

Welcome, beautiful soul! My name is Anu, and my journey with the shamanic path began in the Celtic lands of Scotland where I was born and raised. From a very early age, I felt a deep inner calling to something much beyond the “normal” life I witnessed around me. Perhaps you too have experienced this significant feeling along your path, as life has led you here. Words cannot quite do justice to the colourful journey I have lived thus far, and yet I will do my best...

HOW I DISCOVERED MAGIC:

My journey of discovery began at the age of 16 as I began to experience a profound awakening process. During this time, many internal fears were brought to the surface and mystical experiences found me in the most inexplicable ways. I began seeing colours and orbs of light around people, symbols and faces in nature, and even figures moving around my room at night. With little information about such things, I thought I was going completely crazy. To this day, I am incredibly grateful for a particular book that served as my turning point, dramatically shifting my perception of reality. I began communicating with the angelic realm and started to see their incredible forms displaying magnificent light beyond human description.

In this newfound excitement, I was drawn to attend a shamanic journeying circle with the wise and incredibly gifted Shaman- Fotoula Admiri, author of The Golden Book Of Wisdom. As soon as the drums and rattles began filling the space, I cried with such relief. Finally, I felt at home and overwhelmed by a sense of returning to my 'tribe'. I attended this circle every week until I saved money for travelling.

For several years, I immersed myself in the spiritual world of learning, exploring theories and practices around enhanced awareness, and intentionally communicating with other realms. I began to spontaneously receive flashes of images, words and intuitions that would play out in my reality days, weeks or months later. Seeking further support and guidance I called upon Fotoula to become my mentor and guide. Her ongoing support as well as other amazing mentors have taught me so much, most valuably to trust in my gifts.

DIVINE INTERVENTION

Amidst the confusion of how to offer my gifts into the world rather than just receive them for myself, the universe offered me one of my greatest gifts to date- breaking my femur. Offering permission to slow down, pause and breathe, I looked further into the core emotional pain I had been avoiding. I questioned how I could show up for life in the most empowering way. This huge course correction led me a very special place called Glastonbury where I was surrounded by incredible people, ceremony, lessons of the heart, great challenges and magic. I began assisting friends’ workshops and offering weekly ceremonies. During this ‘letting go into life’ a new softness filled my space and I felt deeply supported by the connections around me. I began practicing ‘tuning in’ to the spirit realms more consistently- their guidance became clearer and stronger in the form of images, insight and states of bliss. One day, an incredible shamanic man came to me in a dream. He told me life was about to change. When I woke up, I knew deep inside that a great transformation was coming. Some days later, I sat in a field and had a spontaneous out-of-body experience where the shamanic man appeared once more. He showed me the image of a blue bird and said it was time for me to fully remember why I came to this planet- to be in service to people- guiding them to remember the love and perfection of everything. He showed me ‘dying’ into something greater. On that day, I made a sacred death ceremony to release all attachments in my life, and committed myself to the path of spirit. The undeniable call of my soul spoke out clearly and I was presented with a strong inner knowing that I would be in Mexico very soon. At the time, this made no logical sense (as is often the case), and yet within 5 days I was sat on the Caribean beach with no plan. Shortly after I arrived, I visited a cenote and saw a bright blue bird perched on a tree. This was the one from my vision- a beautiful confirmation of support from spirit.

Many synchronistic events and connections later, I began offering psychic readings while developing my shamanic practice daily, learning from incredible teachers. The further I surrendered to presence and trust, everything started to flow to me as and when I needed it. As I grew in confidence, my soul began calling me to offer shamanic healing sessions. This work always came naturally to me and was my calling since that first journey circle I attended in Glasgow. Funny how life comes full circle!

Despite filling my being with overflowing love, I had cultivated many fears about working magically as a white western woman. Who was I to offer such sacred wisdom? It was time for the fear of judgement, identity and rejection to be shaken from my core. I asked for Great Spirit to help me, and it delivered. This came during a monumental tropical storm in Mexico when I the building I was in was struck by lightning! Images flashed before my eyes as the electric current coursed through my body. Suddenly, there was no more room to hold back in life. Like a beautiful friend, death looked to my very heart and reminded me once again why I am here- to help people connect to their true self. This experience revealed that ultimately, being caught up in limiting beliefs was preventing people from receiving the unique help I could offer. I recognise  this work is not about my identity- I am a vessel for the universal love to flow through. This was my death beyond the physical; divine intervention from spirit. Since then, I have been showing up for myself like never before, offering my gifts and wisdom through premium soul sessions and continuing to feel deep gratitude for this life. It is sacred.
